The Advantages of Being a First-generation Student
Technology
I'll identify some of the challenges that first-generation students face and how this has helped me succeed in school, internships and as a Program Manager at Adobe. I'll discuss in detail how someone in their position can leverage various resources, experiences and opportunities to their advantage and help them succeed.
Meet the Speaker:
Trevor is from Santa Cruz and went to Santa Clara and will talk through some of the challenges he faced in school being a first generation college student and coming from a poor family. i.e. having to balance working 30+ hours per week, keeping up with school, and helping his family.
