Combining My Chemical Synthesis Expertise with Computational Tools to Bridge Chemical Innovation
Science
In this talk, I will share how my love of diving into different areas of technology has shaped my career as a chemist. I hope to encourage my audience to feel bold about pushing their limits when it comes to finding their own path in the STEAM world.
Meet the Speaker:
I am a trained laboratory chemist with 10+ years of synthesizing challenging and novel organometallic and organic molecules. Since June 2020, I transitioned to becoming a computational chemist where I applied my synthetic chemistry knowledge to steer the development of a machine learning model for predicting chemical reactivities. Currently, I am a volunteer researcher with the Open Source Pharma Foundation (OSPF), a global non-profit organization aiming to develop more affordable and accessible therapeutics in areas of greater need.
